Private Yoga Therapy is a place of deep restoration and a sanctuary of peace for you to come home to your Self and find ease in your body.
Whether your desire is to strengthen your asana practice and fine tune a more active yoga practice, or dive deep into therapeutic restorative yoga, private yoga sessions are designed to settle the nervous system and create more coherence between the mind, the body, and the heart.
We are all stressed and live in a stressed out world. Our tendency is to constantly be do-ing. Our body’s crave less and long for nurturing practices to bring us home to who we truly are. It is in deep rest and healing poses that we can heal and find balance. Yoga therapy is here to help guide you back to your body and your own energy. It is a way to create more self awareness and connection with the patterns of tension in your body and the busyness of an over active mind. Yoga therapy can also be a tool to ease your body into releasing emotional blockages and trauma.
As a trauma informed yoga therapist trained in Somatic Psychology & other mind-body healing techniques, my focus is helping you create more spaciousness and ease thru passive stretching. Restorative yoga is perfect for those who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, postpartum depression, those trying to conceive or experiencing hormonal imbalances, chronic stress, and all other nervous system disorders.
Yoga therapy weaves together restorative poses with healing touch, breathwork, and guided meditations to ease the nervous system and cool the mind. We will work together to restore you body and I will teach techniques you can practice on your own the stay balanced in this stressed out world.
Yoga for Chronic Illness
Yoga for Chronic Illness is specifically designed to support individuals living, or healing from long-term health conditions by offering a gentle, accessible approach to yoga. This class focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and relaxation, with a deep emphasis on the lymphatic system, breathwork, and mindfully gentle movement. Each session is tailored to accommodate varying levels of ability, with modifications and props provided to ensure comfort and safety. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, work within their own limits, and build a sense of empowerment and calm. Through a mindful yoga practice, participants can experience relief from stress, enhance overall well-being, and cultivate a deeper connection to their body, fostering healing and resilience in the face of chronic illness. Thru compassionate healing practices we are able to support you on your healing journey and create more balance and ease in your life.
All classes can be done in a chair. Chairs are provided if needed.
This class is designed for those experiencing chronic health issues such as: cancer, autoimmune disorders, recovering from cancer, Lyme disease, mold toxicity, hormone imbalance, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, depression and anxiety.
